iPhone SE with Apple Intelligence: What to Expect from the Next Release
The only way to experience Apple Intelligence features on an iPhone so far is through the iPhone 15 Pro. However, the entire iPhone 16 lineup is expected to include these advanced capabilities this fall. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, you can also “bet” that the iPhone SE, potentially launching as early as the beginning of 2025, will also feature Apple Intelligence. If this prediction holds true, it could make Apple’s most affordable phone a much harder deal to pass up.
Traditionally, the iPhone SE has been known for offering a budget-friendly option with decent performance, often reusing an older design (most recently, that of the iPhone 8). It’s always been clear that the SE is Apple’s way of delivering a more economical iPhone with a few compromises. However, with the potential addition of Apple Intelligence, the next SE could redefine what a budget iPhone offers.

Rumors have long suggested that the next iPhone SE will adopt the iPhone 14’s design. Finally, shedding the iPhone 8-style forehead, chin, and home button reminiscent of pre-iPhone X models. Given that Apple’s on-device AI features require more power than the iPhone 15 can offer, it seems likely that the upcoming iPhone SE will be powerful and surprisingly modern in its design and capabilities.
